... Often I am asked if there is a way to keep bassets ears out of their food or clean when they walk outside in the rain dragging those long ears.. Well there is and here is a solution.. Its called a " snood " click the red link..

To protect her ears from extreme cold temperatures, we used to wrap an old babushka around Maggie's head and tie a bow under her chin. In her fleece coat, she looked like an extra from "Fiddler on the Roof". I love this!
