My Percy Passed Away Today
... This has been a tough day.. My Percy after 15 1/2 years has died.. my heart is so heavy tonight.. the house seems strange.. Hoover is very upset.. I came in not to long ago after delivering a dog and he wasn't there to bark and give me s*it for going out.. Its so crazy just the other day ( May 9th.. ) I took this video of him in the yard with the rest of them... Percy Out In The Yard.. he had been showing his years of late but this quick decline has me just empty.. Here is one of my favorite pictures of him..

I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. Your Percy is playing with my Riley up in doggie heaven.
Dear Basset Mom,
You have our deepest sympathy in the loss of Percy. I have two basset babies myself and cannot even imagine being withour them. It is wonderful the rescue work that you are doing for bassets as a whole. We admire you greatly.

I am weeping for you in my heart....there is nothing more mournful than the loss of a sweet basset hound companion. There is nothing more empty than a house that no longer hears the excited howl, or the heavy padding of those basset paws.
Please know that I will think of you and Percy, just as I remember Maggie, every day.
OMG Helen I'm so so sorry for your lose of Percy. At least with you he had a good life and lived to a ripe old age. I'll miss him too

Helen, just read your blog ... so very sorry about Percy. Though this doesn't make your loss any easier...he is most definitely running letting everyone know in doggie heaven that there's a new friend to play with !!!

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your fur-kid Percy. He was a very handsome boy and you can tell he was loved very much by his Mommy. I hope Hoover's pick back up.
