Crazy few Days

... Well tuesday I was off to Albany NY to deliver Basil to his new Forever Mom... It took me 4.5 hours to get there by 2:15.. her hubby was pacing the sidewalk she waiting patiently inside the Dunkin Donut shop.. for they had driven up from Connecticut to get him.. Well even in the blustery cold she gave me a great big hug.. and just LOVED Basil he looks better in person.. she said.. Hubby took the leach and went for a walk as he had been in the car sleeping the last 2 hours.. We went inside.. She went for coffee's but before that she presented me with a basket of baked goodies from her son's bakery.. unnecessary but boy oh boy did they look yummy.. So we chatted over coffee about her new charge.. she mentioned how he had 4 beds at home to choose from one in each room and one for the car.. Yes this boy will be spoiled for sure.. She purchased health insurance.. enrolled him in classes to be a therapy dog.. with the mentally challenged.. He will have a great time doing that as he loves people.. I could't ask for more.. The Universe came through once again for one of the bassets.. After eating at a local restaurant it was back in the car for the long ride home.. by this time it was dark.. freezing rain slowed the traffic a couple of times through the mountains.. then the border was a 25 minute wait.. I got home around 10:00 beat.. but totally satisfied and grateful for a good day..

Today I received an update.. He has settled in wonderfully and is loved by those who meet him.. He has done the Basset 500 a few times and flown around the snow filled yard. Yes he's going to be alright.. Phew..

Yes that Basil will be just fine as
a fine boy he is...........
He sure loves loves loves to run
in the snow and run all around the

Mtl it feels good to just enjoy the
